Respected Devotess,
                                   Kaup Shri Hale Mariamma is having a history of over 3 Century. “Kapuda-Appe” (Mother of Kaup Town), “Mariamma”, “Dandina Mari” is some of the historical names of Goddess Shri Hale Mariamma who has many miracles to her credit. According to beliefs, Hale Mariamma was worshipped by the warriors of Keladi Nayaks in Mallar Kote and later shifted to new a place existing at present and worshipped by devotees with fear, love, and devotion. In the beginning she was worshiped once in a week i.e. every Tuesday in a temporary shed and “Gaddige” (Throne) and later discharge it after completing the pooja. In the year 1849 this temporary arrangement was replaced with a permanent Gaddige and later in 1942 this Gaddige was consecrated at newly built temple made out of stone and later Suttu Pauli was constructed.

Now, this eight decade old Suttu Pauli structure has become dilapidated and needs renovation in near future. With the choicest blessings of Sri Samsthan Kashi Matadhipathi His Holiness Srimad Samyameendra Thirtha Swamiji, the committee has begun their work with all earnestness and decided to accumulate fund for the same through “ JEERNODHARA NIDHI”.
